Temperance tilted her head "And you have it" she finished him off.
He grinned. "Exactly.
She hopped out of the car and Laughed as Booth walked out of the tent"Well this is new, suits you" she tried not to fall over laughing, she pulled him out of the way, and hopped the tent changing into a Black rash shirt and Chocolate Brown Board shorts. She climbed out of the tent and smiled showing herself off "This is a holiday" she smiled at Booth.
He grinned. "You look great on this fine holiday." he said, laughing. They walked to the lake in comfortable silence. Finally, they reached the lake. Booth jumped right in, while Brennan hesitated. Annoyed, Booth walked out of the water, threw Brennan over his shoulder, and walked to an edge just over one of the deeper sides of the lake. Booth threw Brennan in, jumping in behind her.

"Boot-David put me down, Oi" she said trying to wriggle from his grasp, she laughed.
Booth threw Brennan in, jumping in behind her.
Brennan swam to the surface and splashed Booth "I was taking me 'time'" she growled teasingly, she swam over and pushed him under the water, then dived under, she smirked at him under the water.. the lake is surprisingly clear?!.

"Never!" He said, laughing."
Brennan swam to the surface and splashed Booth "I was taking me 'time'" she growled teasingly, she swam over and pushed him under the water, then dived under, she smirked at him under the water.. the lake is surprisingly clear?!.
He grinned and surfaced. Shortly after, she did too. he grinned. They played in the water until shortly before dusk, at which time it became too cold to swim any longer. They walked back to the camp, Brennan's head on his shoulder, his arm wrapped around hers. They both got dressed and sat by the fire.
"You wanna tell ghost stories?" He asked, grinning as he toasted a marshmallow for S'Mores.

Brennan looked up, and daringly pulled the really hot marshmallow off the fork and ate it "Boo-David, I don't believe in ghost. you die you get buried end of story, plus my story would make you pale, after how i saw you react to that 'witch'" she laughed and poked his ribs, she pulled her sleeping bag around herself.

"It would not!" Booth argued. "Yours is just a story, that was creepy because, well, we were there. Tell me." He asked, using the puppy eyes. He knew she wouldn't resist for long.
He put one of his marshmallows on the chocolate, putting the top cracker on. He ate it as he waited for her to cave.

"It would not!" Booth argued. "Yours is just a story, that was creepy because, well, we were there. Tell me."
Temperance finished off her chocolate bar and ate another masrshmallow "i'm going to get fat, look at the sugar levels in these" then she snapped back "Right fine then, Deep Breaths David" she sighed.
She told her story and it ended with "The parents opened the door to their dead Daughter Lauries room, A yellow plush toy Duck sat on her bed all alone receiting the prayer, recorded in its little device, the only thing is Who was there to Press him....?!" . She looked at Booth and cracked up Laughing as she pulled the Duck from her bag, she pressed it, the little childs voice recording played around the fire.
"Not that Scary huh?" she smiled and cradled the duck.

He listened intently as she told her story.
"Not that Scary huh?" she smiled and cradled the duck.
He smiled. 'I wasn't scared at all. Told you." He rubbed in. He smiled. I guess it's my turn, huh?"
He ended the story with ""I don’t ever want to talk about it again."
"We won’t."
"Never," was the last clear word I heard before he fell into a repetitive mumble.
If it was the devil, alien or otherwise, and we were responsible for bringing him to life… I grappled with the thought. The thought that has slowly wrested the life from me over the years like a patient serpent subduing its prey. The same thought that was responsible for the phone call I just received.
I gently sat the telephone receiver back into the cradle. It had been Dan’s sister on the line. He was found dead in his car that morning. He had been missing for weeks. She asked me if I had any idea why he would have driven out to a remote spot in Motor Valley and put a gun to his head.
I told her I didn’t know."
It wasn't actually a very scary story, but nonetheless, very entertaining. He grinned, then yawned. Looking at his watch, he saw it was past midnight. "Maybe we should go to bed." He suggested.

Booth laughed with her. He grabbed the rest of his S'More and stuffed it in his mouth.
She watched him yawn, "you can go bed if you like, I'll stay up and think over a few things" she smiled even though yucky images flodded her mind. She popped some chocolate in her mouth. He swallowed and shook his head. "I'm not going to bed until you are." Suddenly he grinned. "We could make a game out of it. Whoever falls asleep first makes breakfast." His grin challenegd her, saying I'll-so-beat-you-Bones-so-just-give-up.

She grinned back at him "I know you'll win David, you know why?, I can't sleep" she smiled at him, a little upset smug grin. She picked at the Blue ribbon around the ducks neck as she thought for a bit "thanks for caring, not just now always, Sure Ange cares, But you..." she smiled but didnt look at him she brushed the little tuft of white hair on the ducks head.
She pressed his little wee button, the prayer echoed throughout the now empty campsite, she sniffed and Looked at Booth "I'll be up a while" she pulled the Sleeping bag away from her shoulders and folded her arms.

He smiled. "No problem Ally." He said.
She sniffed and Looked at Booth "I'll be up a while" she pulled the Sleeping bag away from her shoulders and folded her arms.
He got up and sat next to her instead. He warned her "Don't attack me." And put an arm around her shoulder. He asked "What's wrong? Is it the case?" He asked. "And don't tell me everything is fine, because I know that's not true. Something's keeping you up."

Brennan leaned her head on him but didnt move her arms "I'm just preoccupied, thats all David" she sighed "I'm thinking of leaving the Jeffersonian, and going back over seas" she stroked the Ducks ribbon "But now here with you and my friends, Knightley, it complicates things, you don't want to hear about my pety problems about work" she placed the Duck on the ground and lifted Booths arm off her.

Brennan leaned her head on him but didnt move her arms "I'm just preoccupied, thats all David" she sighed
Booth nodded. It had been a hard week, he could understand that.
"I'm thinking of leaving the Jeffersonian, and going back over seas" she stroked the Ducks ribbon "But now here with you and my friends, Knightley, it complicates things, you don't want to hear about my pety problems about work"
Now he was laramed. He was losing her again. "Bo- Ally. You can't. They're not petty problems, they're the same problems everyone else deals with too. Please understand, we can't lose you." He said. "I can't lose you. I'm in love with you. Please just let me in, let me help you.
She placed the Duck on the ground and lifted Booths arm off her.
He grasped her arm to prevent her from leaving. "No." He said, standing. "We need to talk. What's bothering you? Why won't you let me in?"

Bones twisted Booths arm around she let go and blushed "Sorry, I'm a big girl Boot-David, and I have learnt to cope with things myself, and if I let you in, you'll get dragged down, you have a son that you need to look after, you don't need another child or a charity case, I can help myself" she said strength in her voice.
"I love you too, But thats the thing, I have never been 'in' love before, and my parents didnt even care enough about me to tell me, they loved me before they left" she said sadness showing in her voice.
She looked at him her eyes watering "and I don't want to be hurt like that again" she tried to smile but couldnt "It still hurts".

She looked at him her eyes watering "and I don't want to be hurt like that again" she tried to smile but couldnt "It still hurts".
Suddenly herealized what this was about. She was afraid that being in love would make her less independant. She was afraid he'd hurt her.
"Bones, I would never leave you. It would take an apocolypse to keep me from you." He said, "You say you've never been in love before Bones. Let me show you. God Bones, for once in your life just let someone in!"
